Gretchen Woods: Philemon, 1 Thessalonians 1-2
Thanksgiving for the Thessalonians Faith – The gospel is not mere words, but powerful and with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. Whenever the Bible is heard and obeyed, lives are changed. Christianity is more than just history and facts; it is the power of God to everyone who believes. I know God has done many things in my life since I first believed. When we tell others about Christ, we must depend upon the Holy Spirit to open their heart and eyes. The Thessalonians turned to God and served God, even in times when they were persecuted by both Jews and Gentiles. It isn’t always easy to stand strong when sharing the Gospel and telling your friends, without trying to alter our attitude to make it look more “flattering” for others. We do sometimes have to change our method of sharing the gospel to those in which we come into contact with. The content is the important thing. Sometimes if we are too “pushy” it is royal turn off and can cause those that we are trying to help find Christ just the opposite and make them run the other direction. Don’t compromise the message ever, just find different ways of delivering the message depending upon the audience you are trying to reach. Don’t tell them just what they want to hear, but lean on the Holy Spirit and you will be guided as you guide others.

I loved reading your post Gretchen!!! I agree wIth you 100%, also we should try to share our faith with non-believers. But if we were to come on too hard, we could scare them away. We should just try to go little by little and teach them about Jesus Christ!
